Drive with confidence
Enjoy the freedom of driving in one of the safest ever Outlander PHEVs, with advanced safety technology including: Forward Collision Mitigation with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Automatic High Beam
Multi-view camera system5
Maneuver in and out of difficult driving situations with ease. This available feature uses multiple cameras around the vehicle to create a composite, bird's-eye view of your Outlander PHEV, in addition to a wide-angle view, helping to show what's directly behind you.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Available Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) employs radar technology to judge distances between you and the vehicle ahead, helping you maintain a safe driving distance. If the car moves out of your lane or goes beyond your set speed, the system will resume your set speed.
Blind Spot Warning and Lane Change Assist
Standard Blind Spot Warning and Lane Change Assist Systems alert you when a vehicle is in or approaching your blind spot. When a vehicle is traveling at the same speed or faster in the detection areas, a warning light illuminates in the corresponding side mirror. If your turn signal is on, the warning light on the corresponding mirror blinks and the system then beeps three times to signify it is unsafe to change lanes.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
The standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)7 System detects a vehicle approaching from either side while you're backing up. The warning lights on both side mirrors will blink, a buzzer will sound to alert you, and a warning message will appear on the information screen of the multi-information color display
Instant acceleration
High-output twin electric motors - mounted at the front and rear axles - bypass the gasoline engine in EV Mode to provide immediate torque and instant, all-wheel drive acceleration with zero emission.
Super All-Wheel Control System
The Outlander PHEV upholds Mitsubishi's all-wheel-drive heritage with the Super All-Wheel Control system, combining several advanced technologies to give you maximum traction. With four driving modes, including NORMAL, SNOW, GRAVEL and the S-AWC ECO Mode, the Outlander PHEV offers stable and responsive handling in a variety of driving conditions.
Redesigned second row seats
It's not just drivers that deserve an upgrade - the 2020 Outlander PHEV also features redesigned second row seats as standard. Seat shape has been adjusted to improve seating support for passengers, so that everybody gets where they need to go in comfort
Power Driver Lumbar Support
We know how vital it is to stay comfortable during your journeys, no matter the duration, which is why the 2020 Outlander PHEV features Power Driver Lumbar Support seating as standard. Designed to provide maximum comfort and postural support, drivers can manually adjust and tailor their perfect seating position with both power and manual controls.
The strong, silent type
The Outlander PHEV's insulating and damping components around the engine and drivetrain ensure a quieter cabin than ever. And, in EV Mode - the PHEV's smooth, hushed performance, powered solely by the vehicle's main drive battery - quiet takes on a whole new meaning.
Regenerative braking
Regenerative braking is used to convert kinetic energy into electricity for the drive battery. In the Outlander PHEV, you can use steering-mounted paddle shifters to adjust coasting levels and control the amount of energy being recycled.
Driver selected modes
The Outlander PHEV's three unique driver selected modes allow you to directly influence your vehicle's performance according to your needs. Force the engine to charge the lithium-ion battery pack up to 80% capacity in Battery Charge Mode. On highways, activate Battery Save Mode to conserve energy. And, reduce fuel consumption and maximize electricity usage with EV Priority Mode.
